VILLAGE HALL
The facility was designed by renowned architect Hans Meyer, member of the École de Colline Jaune, in 1909 under the financial patronage of Henri Allard, the 4th Count of Yellow Hill, a wealthy landowner who lived in Bergburg. Construction was completed in 1911 and Lord Allard bequeathed the facility to “the people of Ternat”. It is a scattered three stored, block, six-axial with a simple staircase entrance.
The main entrance is situated on the northwest side. Two internal meeting rooms are located on the ground and first levels. An interconnecting large hall building, complete with a performance stage, toilets, storage rooms and a kitchen, is located at the rear of the front dormer building. The facility is held in trust for use as a versatile venue for the local community to meet for organized reunions of the mayor and other representatives of the village of Ternat.

THIS IS PART OF PEOPLE'S DEMAND TO TERNAT'S MAYOR FOR FEW YEARS ALREADY!
HISTORY:
The old fortress of Ternat was created at the beginning of the 13th century. At first it was a small fortress used to protect the area. It consisted of a fortified castle at the top of the hill surrounded by a wooden palisade. The area was surrounded by a small village with a wooden church, which over time became the current church of Ternat. All the land was cultivated and covered by different types of fields.
Between 1250 and 1300, the wooden wall was replaced by a perimeter wall. The towers were added later at the end of the 13th century. In the middle of the 14th century, a habitable extension was created for the current lord, the upper part being used by the army. The chateau then becomes his second home. After the great war of 1480, the building was set on fire and then abandoned for several years. However in 1600, it was restored and transformed into a luxurious mansion, while retaining a defensive function. Now the building is totally abandoned for a long time. It was closed over 10 years ago because it was not consolidated and it is dangerous for people who want to visit it. This monument is an important part of the history of this country and should be returned to visitors.

LOCAL TRAIN STATION
HISTORY:
The local train station was built back in 1856 as a part of a major infrastructural project which included the water tower and Ternats electricity grid. The train station was initially met with large resistance from the local population because it meant tearing down multiple city blocks. The local population eventually begun to appreciate the train station as it was an integral part of Ternats modernization bringing raw materials to the old factory. In the 1960s the train station was renovated giving it it's iconic overpass and a much needed upgrade of the station building. However the renovation also resulted in the demolition of the old cargo station as it could not fulfill the requirements of today's freight container based cargo business and there were no room for expansion where the old cargo station stood. Today Ternats imports/exports is served by trucks, but the local train station is still a thriving passenger station.

VILLAGE GATE
HISTORY:
The Arch of Ternat is a handsome reminder of Ternat Phillip first works. It was erected to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the Battle of Ternat, an unsuccessful siege of Duke Charles where our village manages to hold the enemy army until reinforcements came to the rescue. Stand before the arch and examine our classic banner of arms decorated with a set of columns and a beautiful sculpture of Saint-Èvre de Tul on top.
